I’m a writer without a blog. Pretty lame of me, eh? Well, I’m here now and hopefully when applying for freelance jobs, I won’t have to leave the “link to your blog” section empty.
I’m an old fashioned writer, even though my age disagrees with that. I’d much rather grasp a pen in my hand and write out the words on a legal pad, rather than type them on a bright computer screen.
Don’t get me wrong, I love technology, in fact I do blogging and social media strategy for a living. But, there’s just something about that good old pen and paper.
I took this picture with my iPhone the other day and it sums me up to a tee. You can see my son’s baby gate in the background (I’m a proud mom), you can see the sunshine pouring into the room (although I’m more inspired on rainy days, I do love that morning glow), you can see my favorite coffee mug, glass AND a lid, filled to the brim with my java, and my pen and blank planner. Every day is different for me as a freelancer. Every day brings new challenges and new opportunities. I want to share some of those with all of you.
